Lucie Böhmová, David Chudán

Acta Informatica Pragensia 2018, 7(1), 4-21 | DOI: 10.18267/j.aip.1116834

Social media networks are tools that recruiters can utilize during a recruitment process. Most importantly, social media networks can be used in conjunction with applications capable of downloading information about their potential candidates. The aim of this article is to present a creation process of a model that could be helpful in recruiting area. A crucial part of this model is application software that downloads user’s data, particularly from Facebook profiles. This model should propose appropriate analytical methods for data processing. The output of this article is employee recruitment model that can be used as a guide to utilize the...

Problems with IPv6 Implementation

Vladimír Nulíček

Acta Informatica Pragensia 2018, 7(1), 22-39 | DOI: 10.18267/j.aip.1124685

The aim of the article is to describe the current status of IPv6 implementation in the Czech Republic and in the world, including the comparison of the different IPv4 and IPv6 transition mechanisms and the outlook for the future. The article is based on extensive research of current sources related to this issue, available on the Internet. It also describes the major security risks associated with the new IP protocol version. Attention is also paid to the economic evaluation of the implementation of IPv6. The article should help those interested in moving to IPv6 to better focus on this complex issue.

Classification and Evaluation of Cloud-Based Testing Tools: The Case Study of Web Applications’ Security Testing

Martin Lněnička, Jan Čapek

Acta Informatica Pragensia 2018, 7(1), 40-57 | DOI: 10.18267/j.aip.1135148

The purpose of the article is to give a survey of research fields related to test and manage applications from the cloud, i.e. cloud-based testing, so that it can facilitate security requirements associated with the testing. This article has two main aims. The first one is the survey of published results attained by the synergy of these research fields – cloud-based testing, testing strategies and types of tests, and related architectures, which is followed by the classification of testing tools based on their testing strategies. The second part is focused on security testing of Fire and Rescue Service portals in the Czech Republic and identification...

Data Mining from Open Fiscal Data

David Chudán, Vojtěch Svátek, Jaroslav Kuchař, Stanislav Vojíř

Acta Informatica Pragensia 2018, 7(1), 58-73 | DOI: 10.18267/j.aip.1143472

Data mining methods are still more popular, even in domains where there is traditionally limited support by analytical tools and where the analyst´s manual work still prevails. Using these methods in the fiscal domain enables deeper analysis and can bring new findings. The deployment of data mining methods is one part of the OpenBudgets.eu project, which focuses on transparency and accountability in the public funds management. This overview article summarizes selected experiences of the authors of the project from the development, implementation and application of selected data mining methods on mining fiscal data. These methods are integrated into...

An Overview of Approaches Evaluating Intelligence of Artificial Systems

Ondřej Vadinský

Acta Informatica Pragensia 2018, 7(1), 74-103 | DOI: 10.18267/j.aip.1154611

Artificial General Intelligence seeks to create an artificial system capable of solving many different and possibly unforeseen tasks thus being comparable in its intelligence to that of a human. Such an endeavour, however, requires suitable methods that can evaluate whether an artificial system is intelligent, and to what extent. This review paper searches for such evaluation methods. Therefore, an extensive literature overview is conducted that covers both philosophical and cognitive presumptions of intelligence as well as formal definitions and practical tests of intelligence grounded in Algorithmic Information Theory. Based on a comparison of the...

Paraconsistent Many–Valued Logic in GUHA Framework

Esko Turunen

Acta Informatica Pragensia 2018, 7(1), 104-111 | DOI: 10.18267/j.aip.1165606

The primary aim of this paper is to establish a formal connection between a particular many–valued paraconsistent logic and the logic of a KDD method, namely the GUHA data mining method by introducing a new quantifier called Paraconsistent Separation quantifier. This quantifier is implemented to LISp–Miner Software. The secondary aim is to demonstrate a possible usefulness of this quantifier in social and other applied sciences by examples taking from family planning context.

"Vlček's Seminars" About Systems Approaches – Topics 2016/2017: Technological Gluttony, GIS in Transportation and Current Approaches to Scientific Publishing

Veronika Vlčková

Acta Informatica Pragensia 2018, 7(1), 112-123 | DOI: 10.18267/j.aip.1172044

From autumn 2016 to spring 2017, at the Faculty of transport sciences of CTU in Prague, traditional “Vlček's seminars” take place again. These seminars go ahead at the Faculty of transport sciences of CTU since 1999 irregularly. The constant sense of these seminar discussions consists in a finding of especially new and fresh impulses for (so-called) the system approach to solving of tasks, sorting of pieces of knowledge and views of system engineering tools and the system analysis. In other words, it means to find how further new (innovative) procedures and tools of system approach, as well as objectives and possible space for their application....
